Osteopathy in pregnant women
A mother’s health is essential for proper development of a child. The energy of the mother, her agility, a good diet and plenty of rest are the basis for optimal development and growth of an unborn child.
During pregnancy, the uterus grows from 5 centimeters to about 30 centimeters. This growth requires a lot of adjustments to the organs (intestines, bladder, stomach, and diaphragm) as well as the pelvis and spine. The osteopath can assist pregnancy and ensure that the body remains in good condition and is ready for childbirth.
During labor, the pelvis makes different movements so that the child can pass through the birth canal. After the birth of the child, a misalignment of the pelvis can result. The osteopath can treat this.
Osteopathy can resolve complaints through gentle techniques such as pelvic instability, low back pain, and pregnancy sciatica.
